Welcome
The Borderlands region of North Wales, especially rural Flintshire and Denbighshire, is an area that provides a wealth of game and coarse angling opportunities for visiting anglers, plus some spectacular saltwater fishing in the estuary of the River Dee.
In and around the Clwydian hills there are more than 20 fisheries and angling clubs providing lake fishing for specimen trout and coarse fish as well as river fishing for wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon.
Here amid stunning scenery anglers can relax and enjoy a day’s fishing at one of the many day ticket waters or, subject to vacancies, become a member of one or more of the local angling clubs.
The area is within comfortable travelling distance of the North West of England and the Midlands and is easily accessible for a day or even an evening fishing trip. With its wide choice of hotels, guest houses, caravan parks and country inns offering accommodation, it’s also an ideal location for a longer fishing break.
If you’ve never sampled the fishing in rural Flintshire and Denbighshire, now is the time to discover the angling potential of this part of Wales. Just contact one of the fisheries or fishing clubs listed on this website.
